2019/2020
Printmaking and Pottery in collaboration with Little Bethel and HRIC and in partnership with Pipeline Trail Hamilton. Supported by the Ontario Arts Council, The Canada Council, the City of Hamilton and Metrolinx.
Youth from two neighbourhoods created personal clay tiles that mark their place in the community. Their tiles are installed in Andrew Warburton Memorial Park.
For the second phase of the project, the youth created conversation pieces for the fire pit at the Healing Garden at the new Indwell Parkdale Landing building. The start of the workshops was delayed because of COVID 19, and had to be adapted to the safety protocol. This meant that instead of multiples, the youth made models and the artists then cast multiples from molds.
Creative workshops are led by potter Judi Henhawk Sault and printmaker Ingrid Mayrhofer.
Coordinated by Bethany Osborne and Elizabeth Seidl
